The Age-Old Question!

The more I think about it, I think my friend Kim is right! Age doesn't really matter so much. It's more about maturity and life experiences! I've heard that the best difference would be if the woman is 7 years older, but can't remember why! I just remember at the time I heard it I was thinking that perhaps I needed to start hanging out at colleges! I think there are pros and cons to both older and younger and I'm going to give each a shot. The younger guy is not necessarily a potential, but rather fun to flirt with! The older (well, he's my age) and is no longer in the picture! That ended after two dates and many text messages! Let's just say, I thought I was the type of person that didn't really need a lot of space, but after getting calls, emails and texts multiple times throughout the day I've learned I do need my space! Seriously, there is some fun in the chase (initially) . Gosh, the more I think about it, girls are stupid. We're so wishy washy. I bet that if we ever made it to the relationship phase I'd want to know where he was all the time! I'd like to think that's not true, but it probably is! Anyway, we were so different in life experiences that I couldn't relate to him! Oh well, moving onward!

As I re-read the post, I realize it might be a bit incoherent so I apologize, but I'm going to leave it for now!

Let's Go To The Beach!!

You know how you make these awesome plans for a beautiful beach weekend a month in advance and mark off the days on your calendar until you'll be sitting on the sand for 4 sun-drenched days? That was supposed to happen Easter weekend. However, Mr. Sun decided he wanted to have a rest and give us 40 degree rainy weather instead! But, as you can see from this picture, we didn't let it get us down! We went to the beach anyway--and even managed to have some fun! Our CRAZY weekend began with a pit stop in Waco where we were interviewed by the local NBC station about rising gas prices and holiday travel. We made fools of ourselves. In fact, I was such a blundering fool that it didn't even make the airwaves! Praise God!! But Jaime and Shelly were quoted!

I haven't laughed so hard in a really long time! It was nice to just be the girls! The weekend wasn't completely boy free as Amy was constantly checking her phone in hopes there would be a new text from the pilot and I was checking my phone in the hopes that there wasn't another text from the mechanic (that's for another post). In our 4 days in Corpus Christi we managed to go to the beach, take a ferry, shop, eat--A LOT, tour a battleship, see the Texas State Aquarium, and Karaoke!!!

The Run

I did it! I finished my run in 2:18, which was under my goal of 2:20, which makes me happy! However, it was 3.5 minutes slower than my previous half. This means, I'm just going to have to do another one! Everything was great. I was extremely tired when I was done, however! It did confirm that I will never do a full marathon ever again! There was a point during the race where the full marathoners and the halfers split off! I was very thankful I was not going with the full marathoners! Sheesh!
