Winter Storm 2007
I love winter storms! It's the only days of the year when I don't feel guilty about being lazy! So, imagine my pleasant surprise when I walk out on the patio to let Gilbert out and there is ice and snow everywhere! I immediately turn the telly on and thereby discover school's canceled for the day! It's an extra bonus to watch all the giddy weather men and women out and about showing off the ice everwhere and seemingly excited about all the accidents caused by slick roads. Although, thinking back, I have to say my favorite ice storm of them all was "Ice Storm '96" in Waco. I remember hanging with roommates and friends, watching movies and T.V. and drinking lots of hot chocolate while all classes were canceled. That was the year when a dear friend ruined the movie Top Gun by asking if Goose had died not knowing I had never seen it before. Ahh, those were good times!

After I talked to you last night, I was thinking about that year. That has to be one of my favorite memories from my Baylor years. Just thinking about the fun day brings a smile to my face, even now! Thanks for the reminder.

Those were good times. :) Of course, now I'm at the point where I don't like 'ice days' b/c it means Emily doesn't go to school! Looks like you've done a lot of writing lately.
