This picture has no relevance to the post, however my post does have to do with a an airport, so I figure at least there's a picture of a vehicle of transport. Additionally, I wanted to show off my "come on knock on my door" pose.
Recently I had the the opportunity to spend some quality time at the airport. I love the airport because it's the one place where I'm always thankful I am who I am, because let me just tell ya folks, there are some strange birds out there!
While waiting for my ride to come pick me up at the Ontario Airport in southern California, I was blessed to hear a one sided conversation with a man carrying this leather carry-on suitcase that was so old school it didn't have wheels. He had obviously just deplaned and was waiting out front for his ride. As he was talking on the phone to this unknown individual, he's pacing the outside of the airport as unknown person is speaking. I love hearing one-sided phone conversations because you get to guess what the non-present speaker is saying. It was pretty easy to guess what he/she was saying because this man's amusing retort was "Well, they told me on the plane we were going to Ontario!"
The second story was at the same place within 5 minutes of each other. This couple came out of the airport and the guy said, "Let's cross here." He then proceeds to start walking as his girlfriend appears a bit confused. Shortly thereafter, he turned around, looked back at the airport, then looked at his girlfriend and said, "Wait, our luggage." They then turned back around toward baggage claim. A few seconds later, I overheard him say, "Why didn't you tell me?" Her response: "I thought you said you were just checking the weather."
Funny? I thought so!
